PENGAJARAN SUFIKSASI -KAN DAN –I DALAM BAHASA INDONESIA BAGI PEBELAJAR BIPA BERBASIS KAIDAH OBJEK LANGSUNG DAN TAK LANGSUNG PADA BAHASA INGGRIS MENURUT KAJIAN DIXSON (Teaching The Usage Of Suffixes –kan and –i in Bahasa Indonesia Intended for BIPA Learners Based on Direct Object – Indirect Object Rules in English Language as Performed By Dixson)

Abstract


The usage of suffixes -kan and -i in bahasa Indonesia, including its existance as
confix together with the prefix meng-, result distinction of meaning. Understanding
the distinction of function and meaning referred to the suffixes -kan dan -i is not as
simple as considering the distinction between the prefixes meng- and di- as
indicators of active and passive. The existance of the suffixes -kan dan -i as in
’kirimkan’ and ’kirimi’ have resulted significant one. In fact, the suffix -kan
should be followed by noun being as tool of action as mentioned by the verb;
while the suffix -I should be followed by noun to be target of action
mentioned by the verb. This method can be paralllized to the English direct
object and indirect object as performed by Dixson.
